1. PAYMENTS TO STUDENTS – WHERE NO SERVICES ARE REQUIRED
There are occasions when a student is to be paid for their participation rather than services. In these instances, hourly rates, number of hours, and work-study does not apply and payment must be processed as a stipend through Accounts Payable on a Voucher.

An example of this is summer research programs where acceptance to the program may involve attending conferences or workshops, independent research, presentation of research and research training.

2.  ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
Accounts Payable is pleased to welcome Crystal Flores.  Crystal replaces Janet Gyurits and can be reached at x2842 or cflores@wesleyan.edu . Stop by and introduce yourself.

3. PCARD TRAINING AVAILABLE
PCard voucher reconciliation training will be available on Friday, September 30, 2011 from 11:00am-12:00noon at PAC 100. Email pcard@wesleyan.edu to register.

4. PURCHASING NEWS
Ikon Office Solutions:
Please do not order toner for overnight delivery. If you order overnight delivery, you will be expected to pay $44. To avoid this extra and unnecessary charge, please contact Bob Moreland at 860 234-0937. Bob keeps enough toner on campus to provide for emergency situations.

WB Mason New Delivery Schedule:
As of July 1, 2011 WB Mason office supplies deliveries has changed to Tuesday and Thursday. The Sustainability Committee is implementing this change as part of the University’s continued effort to reduce carbon footprint.

Berkshire Food:
We are pleased to announce the new vendor for Vending Services. For a couple of months, Berkshire Food has been offering refreshments, beverages, healthy snacks and vending. Some of the choices are: Columbian coffee, fresh sandwiches, name brand beverages and optimal product mix for our students and employees to enjoy. Ice cream is offered at the Science Center location.
