1. BUDGET TRANSFERS IN WFS
The deadline for original budget transfers is Friday, March 29 at 12:00 pm. It is important that we freeze the 2013 original budgets in preparation for 2014 budget planning and implementation. Adjustment budget transfers will still be allowed in the last quarter of the fiscal year, but there should be very little budget transfer activity from this point forward.

As a reminder, budget transfer training materials can be found on the WFS Blog at http://wfs.blogs.wesleyan.edu// Offline budget transfer requests must be submitted to a fiscal manager and financialplanning@wesleyan.edu for approval.

2. UTILITY INVOICES
If you inadvertently receive a utility invoice from Yankee Gas, CL&P or City of Middletown Tax Collector, please forward the original invoice through campus mail to Sherri Condon – 4th floor No College. Originals are needed and departments are not responsible for the processing of these invoices.

3. PURCHASING NEWS
Please see the attached Purchasing news for information on the Taste of Middletown, Dupli printing, WB Mason water filtration and coffee machine repairs and Executive Valet parking.

4. MONTHLY REPORTS
Financial review and analysis throughout the year is important, not only to help ease the year end burden (which is right around the corner!), but to be sure you meet the various University deadlines such as 90 days to request a redistribution of payroll activity, 90 days to submit grant cost-transfers and, among others, 30 days to submit travel expense reimbursements. We have provided a Preformatted Budget vs. Actual report, Online Inquiry pages or an option to download data to Excel for further analysis in order to facilitate this process.

Finance Monthly will be e-mailed on a monthly basis. Items for inclusion are due five business days before the end of each month and can be submitted to finance@wesleyan.edu
